Mike White is QB1. — Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) December 26, 2022 The Jets have a terrible history with quarterback draft picks. The guy they are facing Sunday, Geno Smith, was one that was a bust in New York, but now look at him -- a pro Bowler in Seattle. Sam Darnold was another -- and now he has won the starting quarterback job in Carolina and has them playing well with a shot to make the playoffs. So there may yet be a second act for Wilson, but probably not with the Jets. The man of the moment in New York is Mike White, who is slated to start Sunday against the Seahawks after missing a few weeks with a rib injury.
CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE. Full-Game Total Pick The Jets offense operates significantly better with Mike White under center, but still, this is not a great Jets offense. They only average 18. 9 points per game but they are facing a porous Seattle defense, which ranks as one of the worst in the NFL. With White back in the fold, the offense has more confidence, and the Jets have two decent running backs, which should be able to expose Seattle's 31st-ranked rush defense.
New York Jets @ Seattle Seahawks over-under New York Jets @ Seattle Seahawks over-under:42. 5 Over: -110 Under: -110 I anticipate this game staying under the total. The Jets have stayed under for most of the season, including eight of the last 10 games. Their defense has been strong all year and I think they match up well with Seattle. The Jets’ defense is giving up the third-fewest yards per game in the NFL only behind the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers.
After starting the season 6-3, Seattle has lost three games in a row and five of their last six. Geno Smith has cooled off since starting the season hot as he has turned the ball over often in recent weeks. With Mike White returning as starting quarterback, the Jets are a better team than last week. White gives the team the best chance to win out of their three quarterbacks. Their offense is much more explosive with White under center as he has moved the ball well in his limited amount of game action. The Jets and Seahawks need a win in the worst way to keep their seasons alive. It should make for an exciting game between two hungry teams.
Then you have Geno Smith, with a chance to prove those who wrote him off, the Jets, wrong. You don't think he wants this? Then there is coach Pete Carroll, the former Jets coach, coaching a team everyone thought would be terrible. He has his team on the verge of the playoffs and has a chance to do it against his former team. I love Seattle here. Take the Seahawks getting the points. Best Bets for this Game Full-Game Side Bet Insiders Status: Rating: I love this matchup for Seattle, I honestly can't believe the Jets are favored in this one, but I'm glad they are because I'm taking the Seahawks all the way here. Yes, the Hawks have lost three straight, but they have been against two of the best teams in the NFL. This game is filled with intangibles, starting with a raucous home crowd, one of the loudest in the NFL, who can smell a playoff berth.

— Bally Sports (@BallySports) December 22, 2022 They have had a rough stretch as of late, with back-to-back losses to perhaps two of the best team in the NFL -- the 49ers and the Chiefs. The Chiefs beat them on Saturday at Arrowhead by the score of 24-10. Seattle outgained the Chiefs and had more first downs, but just couldn't convert when they needed to. Kansas City dominated the whole game as the Seahawks only scored late on a garbage-time touchdown.
m. EST at Lumen Field in Seattle. Jets will start Mike WhiteWell, it may be time to add Zach Wilson to the growing pile of quarterback busts for the New York Jets. Wilson was atrocious in his last start, a 19-3 loss to Jacksonville on Thursday, Dec. 22. The former No. 2 pick in the draft was 9 for 18 for 92 yards and a pick with a quarterback rating of 41.
9. He was so bad, he was benched in favor of Chris Streveler, who had been the fourth quarterback on the roster. Streveler was 10 of 15 for 90 yards and he rushed for a team-high 54 yards. After the debacle, the Jets deactivated Wilson, meaning they don't even want him as a backup if Sunday's sta
